How Mainstream Rap Inspired Mainstream Graffiti Art
In the early stages of rap graffiti was linked to music. Both of these things were associated with an urban audience. These things were associated with the hip-hop movement, but hip-hop would eventually become something that is mainstream. People would begin to see this as a huge movement that would expand past the urban community. That is what caused more people to appreciate graffiti art.
Now that rap has become widespread there is also a growth in graffiti art as well. There are some graffiti art concepts that are displayed on art exhibits. There are some other forms of graffiti art that appear on walls that celebrate the lives of entertainers. Even celebrities like Chris Brown have become taggers (graffiti art specialists) in recent years. This is now considered a real form of art. So many people are now looking at this as real art.
